Where Winds Meet CN Offers a Feature for Creating Tools Similar to Zelda Tears of the Kingdom

Where Winds Meet, developed by Everstone Studio under the umbrella of NetEase, was officially launched worldwide on November 15th. If you haven’t known, the Chinese server (CN) has been available since the beginning of 2025 and has received a variety of new content over the past 11 months.

Recently, it has been revealed that Where Winds Meet CN has received a new update that introduces players to a new area called Hidden Mountain. What is particularly interesting is the addition of a new feature that allows players to create crafting tools for building transportation, which also appears to be useful for complex machinery.

Nevertheless, this feature could be considered akin to “playing on the edge of a cliff” because it closely resembles the Zonai Devices created with Ultrahand in Nintendo’s game The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

You can observe some of the appearances of the results from the device creation feature in the images below (footage provided by ZADA).

It is not yet certain when this feature will be released for the global version of Where Winds Meet, but it is expected to be available in approximately nine or eleven months, depending on how quickly NetEase decides to launch it after the Chinese version.

A New Faction Called Mohism has Appeared

This feature was introduced alongside the unveiling of a new group named Mohism, which occupies the Hidden Mountain area. This faction is described as being renowned for their craftsmanship—creating a variety of complex devices for different purposes.

The Mohism faction is based on a genuine school of thought called Mohism, which originated during ancient China and was founded by a philosopher and researcher named Mozi. Although it is presented as a philosophical school, many of its followers are engineers or artisans who pursue technological advancements and their applications for daily life needs, including military defense.

At the same time, there is also a promotional video in collaboration with the Chinese National Space Administration (CNSA), specifically about a satellite called Quantum Experiments at Space Scale (QUESS), also commonly known as Mozi — which has been launched since the year 2016.

Despite this feature, it seems it will be more commonly used as a mode of transportation. It’s certainly exciting to look forward to the creative or even quirky designs that players will develop in the future. Considering that when “Tears of the Kingdom” was released in 2023, the community created numerous innovations, some of which had never crossed anyone’s mind before.
