Despite having been released over six years ago, the formidable game Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, developed by FromSoftware, is sure to be remembered for years to come—thanks to its gameplay that has captivitated (and sometimes frustrated) players worldwide.
Winning several prestigious awards, including Game of the Year in 2019, is not the only achievement of this game. Recently, it has been reported that this Japanese-era Sengoku-themed game, which blends fantasy and mysticism, is also set to receive an anime adaptation.

During Gamescom 2025, the adaptation of the anime was officially announced under the title “Sekiro No Defeat,” accompanied by a teaser that showcased several main characters including Wolf (Sekiro), Kuro, and Genichiro.
You can view the teaser directly below.
The game “Sekiro No Defeat” is currently in development and is expected to be released in 2026. The anime adaptation is being produced by Qzil.la studio, with Kenichi Kutsuna serving as the director.
