A short video clip that Blizzard posted to Twitter has revealed that multiple new Diablo projects are in the works. Although they couldn’t tell us exactly what the projects are, they did say that they might have something to show later this year.

While Diablo 4 is undoubtedly one of the projects they are working on, I doubt that is the one that they will be showing later this year. I sincerely hope that I’m wrong though as a Diablo 4 reveal at the end of this year would make 2018 an even more amazing year for gaming than it already is, however, I wouldn’t count on it. There were multiple job openings for looking for Diablo developers at Blizzard in the past so I definitely expect that Diablo 4 is one of the games they are working on.
The other project could be anything though. Diablo 3 for the Nintendo Switch would be the safest bet. The game was also ported to the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 when the latest expansion came around so a port for the Nintendo Switch wouldn’t be very strange.
Another safe bet would be more DLC for Diablo 3. Before moving on to Diablo 4 I wouldn’t be surprised if they try to get as much money out of Diablo 3 as possible. A new DLC could certainly help with that as it brings some people back to the game searching for the new content.
Diablo 3 was already released over 5 years ago, so whatever it is that they are showing us later this year, it better be good. The franchise has been out of the spotlight for a while now and deserves to get some love.
