Flying mounts made their entrance into WoW gameplay with the first expansion, “The Burning Crusade.” Ever since then, they’ve been the source of much debate as players have expressed both support and disapproval of its inclusion. One of the biggest complaints by the latter is that it makes it easy for players to bypass aspects of the game that are fundamental to the game experience such as exploration, world PvP, and many others. In an effort to force players to actually go through the game in the intended way, ever since “Warlords of Draneor” each WoW expansion has players completing a specific line of achievements in order to unlock flying mounts.
“Battle for Azeroth” being no exception to the trend, has just had part of its flight achievement list revealed through a new WoWhead datamine. What we know so far is that the achievement name follows the same naming convention of past expansions and as such, is titled “Pathfinder, Part One.” The reward for this is faster mount speed throughout BfA’s new zones, and it will serve as a prerequisite for “Pathfinder, Part Two” which will unlock flying mounts. Here’s a list of the Part One achievements for both factions:
Horde Achievements
Battle for Azeroth Explorer
Zandalar Forever – awarded for finishing all of the quest lines in the Zandalar zones
Zandalar Diplomat – while not revealed in the datamine, it will most likely involve achieving a certain level of reputation with the Zandalar faction
Alliance Achievements
Battle for Azeroth Explorer – awarded for completing the map exploration of all new BfA zones
Kul Tourist – awarded for finishing all of the quest lines in the Kul Tiras zones
Kul Tiras Diplomat – while not revealed in the datamine, it will most likely involve achieving a certain level of reputation with the Kul Tiras faction

Have both a Horde and an Alliance character? Don’t worry, Blizzard won’t make you complete these quests twice. Here’s a message stating this from their official Twitter account.
No. In Battle for Azeroth, you’ll only need to complete one of either the Horde or the Alliance campaigns to earn the Pathfinder Part 1 Achievement. https://t.co/0EkDbxDwD4

And that’s all we have right now. The achievement list for “Pathfinder, Part Two” will likely debut in a later patch sometime after BfA’s release August 14th and we’ll be sure to give you all the details when it becomes available!
