玩家們引頸期盼的索尼次世代新主機 PlayStation 終於要在台灣時間 6 月 12 日凌晨 4 點時舉辦 PS5 的預錄發表記者會，官方特別提醒節目中會有很酷的音效展示，若手邊有耳機的話最好戴上，且實際使用 4K 電視遊玩 PS5 時會比在節目中看到的還要更佳精緻。
截至目前為止，所有玩家都對 PS5 的外觀與價格一無所知，僅知道的是一些關於內部零件的細節。不過英國亞馬遜網站似乎不小心透露了玩家最想知道的「價錢」——一名遊戲業界人士 Wario64 在推特上發表一些截圖，圖上的商品名稱寫著「PS5 1 2 TB」，價格則是 599.99 元英磅（折合台幣約 22,678 元）， 但這個頁面上標示的僅有一個價格，且商品內容說明有明顯錯誤，PS5 的最小容量有 835G 而非 1 TB 。
