Though this weekend was dominated by teases from Microsoft’s odd X018 event, the trailer world has been rumbling ever forward with a steady stream of nuggets. We’ve got a World War 1-inspired 11-11 Memories Retold, Battlefield V, a futuristic taxi simulator, and more.
11-11: Memories Retold
Tracking the simultaneous experience of two men during the harrowing conflict of World War 1, 11-11: Memories Retold is a sombre reminder of the horrors of global warfare. Aptly released in time for last weekend’s commemorative 100 years since the end of the war, the art style is a blurred impressionistic take on a snippet of history that few living people vividly remember.
Rain of Reflections
Rain of Reflection is a dystopian adventure about a scientist named Wilona who’s tasked with getting to the bottom of a rampant fertility problem affecting the human race and managing the morale questions raised by her experiments. A dialogue-heavy narrative focused on exploration leads the story forward while turn-based strategy elements and mini games make up most of the game play. Rain of Reflections is a looker and reminds us of a top-down Detroit: Become Human.

Top-down action RPG HellSign follows the travails of a Hunter, the decider between the human world and ‘the horrors of the afterlife’. Explore a small town, investigate, and prepare hunts down to minute details to ensure the threat is contained.
Redout: Space Assault
Smooth squad based space-sim Redout: Space Assault is all about black holes, massive orbital battles, and frantic dogfights. Story-wise, players must help the threatened inhabitants of Earth migrate to Mars to avoid the planet’s imminent collapse.
Battlefield V Launch Trailer
After what feels like years of build up (it’s only been months), Battlefield V is finally upon us and EA has unleashed the final trailer for the World War 2 shooter. There’s loads of explosions, cinematic music, tanks, angry looking soldiers, chaotic gun fights: basically, it’s Battlefield
Volcanoids
Volcanoids is a first-person steampunk-inspired survival game set in the shadows of an recently-erupted volcano where everything is draped in fine volcanic ash. Mine, build, and expand to ensure continued existence thanks to massive drills among other oversized tools. The volcano unfortunately won’t make things easy as a race of mechs ensure it continues spewing lava relentlessly and attack player structures.
Cloudpunk
Cyberpunk games seem to be a dime a dozen these days. We aren’t complaining though especially as we get a taste of Cloudpunk, a futuristic courier taxi sim in a world of neon lights, never ending buildings, and flying cars. As Rania embarking on her first shift, you’ll fly around meeting a cast of interesting characters, take dangerous missions, and navigate what is set to be a bleak, introspective story.
Edge of Eternity
Edge of Eternity is your classic JRPG about saving the world from evil. In this case technology is pitted against magic, and through turn-based battles, players will solve quests, explore, fight, and uncover secrets.
Spitkiss
The name pretty much sums it up. You’ll play as a gob of spit and platform around to exchange bodily fluids with other blobs. It isn’t as revolting at it sounds and is more cute than gross. Your gob of spit also has awesome abilities like bullet time where you can perform some hair-raising stuns. Super Meat Boy gone soppy we’d say.
