Tekken 8 Developer Apologizes and Accepts Gamer Criticism

In recent days, the game Tekken 8 has faced significant criticism from the gaming community. The controversy stems from the decision to make the Genmaji Temple stage a separately purchasable content, despite players owning the Deluxe, Ultimate versions, or a subscription to the Season 1 Character Pass within the game.

Addressing the criticism, the development team issued a formal apology and announced compensation for the players.

Tekken 8 Developer Responds to Gamer Criticism and Apologizes

In an official post on their Twitter X account, the Tekken 8 development team issued an apology for player complaints regarding the recent update to the Genmaji Temple stage. Alongside this apology, they also announced that players would receive compensation in future content updates.

Here is a list of compensations provided by Tekken to the players:

  • Owners of the Deluxe, Ultimate versions, or those subscribed to the Character Pass Season 1 will receive a free stage for the winter update.
  • All players will be awarded 500 Tekken Coins. To claim these coins, players must log in between Oc tober 29 and November 26.

From the list, it can be concluded that the Genmaji Temple stage still needs to be purchased separately. However, the developers have assured that players will receive the stage for free in the next update.

As for the 500 Tekken Coins given away for free, this is quite beneficial for players. Considering with that amount, you can obtain either one old costume or one set of customizable costumes available for purchase in the Tekken Shop.

Response from the Tekken Community

The players reacted very positively to this announcement. Many of them are pleased that the developer is willing to listen to the community’s concerns and respond with good policies.

In addition to praising the official Tekken account, the community also expressed gratitude to Katsuhiro Harada, the Game Director of Tekken 8.

This is closely related to his actions as the main and first representative from the developers to directly address the community’s complaints and promise improvements when the community was actively criticizing the game following the release of the character Heihachi and the Genmaji Temple Stage.
