Doom The Dark Ages Physical Edition Pre-orders Reportedly Canceled by Many Fans

Cancellation of Doom The Dark Ages Pre-orders – The latest installment in the Doom series, titled DOOM The Dark Ages, has been available on various platforms since May 15, 2025. In this game, players once again join Doom Guy as he battles numerous demons and dangerous monsters in hell.

Unfortunately, some fans who have been eagerly anticipating the release of the game were left disappointed after hearing the disheartening news about the physical disc copies of the game.

Why Fans Cancelled Their Physical Pre-orders for Doom The Dark Ages

This topic is currently a hot discussion in the Doom gaming community. According to reports, several fans or gamers who had pre-ordered Doom The Dark Ages have unexpectedly canceled their orders.

This all started with a tweet from a Twitter user named Nilynix, who shared a post about a physical game they recently acquired. In the post, they were surprised to find that the disc only contained 324 MB of game data, while the remaining 85 GB needed to be downloaded from the internet. This means the game disc merely included the installation files.

Disappointment Among Fans

Many fans and gamers, upon learning about this situation, quickly began canceling their pre-orders for the physical version of Doom The Dark Ages. They also expressed their dissatisfaction with Bethesda, the game’s publisher, on social media.

Although the game has faced significant controversy, unfortunately, neither id Software nor Bethesda has provided any confirmation regarding the serious issues affecting the game.

However, as of the time this article was written, the game released on May 15 continues to receive positive feedback from players across various platforms, including PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.
