After you have progressed through a major part of the game, Arthur and his company will meet horse and wagon buyers, and you can score much money from this. However, this task is pretty complicated, you have to catch them, put them in a stable, then bring them out to sell.

You can actually sell horses right from your stable, but it won’t bring much money. You can also hunt wild horses and sell them, you will receive more money for selling them if the bond is stronger.

If you live in a forest or near a river, then hunting and fishing is a part of your life. Animals are very useful with variety usages: skin for clothes, meat for food, you can also donate them to Pearson to keep food supply. But if you already have plenty of these already, then you can even sell animals and fish you found to the butcher in town. Price will be based upon the food quality, while the profit is not that big, if you are on your way to the town, then finding one extra boar can net you several dollars for the next meal.

Ok, it is time to become the good guy. As the story goes, you will have some bounty hunting quest – you often find these in town, or the sherif’s office. You will receive some rewards for hunting down the wanted criminals.

Red Dead Redemption 2 have many small encounters that you can interact and discover the open world.

One of these encounters is related to snakes, and the other related to bear traps. If you occationally find any victims, you should help them. They won’t give you anything instantly, but after awhile, when you go to their shops, they will recognize you and you can buy one free item. This can save you several hundred dollars when getting a free gun or a new hat.

Help people in random encounters, and they will give you some clues about how to make more money. Like houses that you can rob, and most of the time, the owners are bad guys.

Up until now, the most effective ways to make money in Red Dead Redemption 2 is to complete the quests along the storyline.
