League’s New Colorful Mage Champ Has Leaked On A Chinese Website

For a while now we’ve known that the next League of Legends champion that will be added to the game will be a colorful witch. This is what Riot Games previously stated during a League of Legends roadmap. Although they’ve yet to reveal the champ, we’ve already been given an unofficial first look at her through leaks that appeared on a Chinese website.

It’s a bit hard to see but the new champ is supposedly the champion all the way on the left called “Neeko”. The other pictures are of already existing champions but in a new set of skins which will most likely be released for the winter period. From left to right, the skins are for Master Yi, Dr. Mundo, Twitch, and Soraka. It has not been confirmed whether these skins will be a new skin line or if they will be the skins for this year’s Snow Day skins.

Although we have received a first look at the new champion there’s still a lot left unanswered. First of all, will Neeko even be the champion’s name or is this just a name that’s being used during her production. Secondly, since she leaked together with these winter skin does that means she’s also wearing a winter skin or is she wearing her original outfit? I’m inclined to lean to the former, especially considering the 1350RP price tag that she has which is a normal price tag for skins but not really for champions.

Riot themselves have also teased the champion a bit more by releasing some beautiful watercolor images that feature Darius, Nunu & Willump, and Ahri. We’re very curious as to what kind of champions she will be, obviously she will be colorful but does this means she uses color as a primary form of magic or is a magic painter whose drawings come to life or something. She might even be some sort of shapeshifter considering there are two Nunu’s drawn in the painting and considering Ahri has an extra tail that she normally doesn’t have.

Since these are just leaks they should be taken with a grain of salt, we’re not sure how far in production these screenshots were taken. However, since Riot just teased a bit on the new champ themselves and she does have a model in the game according to these leaks, it’s safe to say that she’s pretty far along in production and hopefully we get to see more of her soon.
