Don’t Stop Me Now Almost Perfectly Matches With Smash Bros Trailer

The official Nintendo YouTube account published a new trailer for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate called More Fighters, More Battles, More Fun. While the trailer wasn’t bad, it was a very odd one, to say the least. This is due to the trailer having no music at all. The only sounds you hear throughout the trailer are running sounds, punching sounds, attacking sounds, and some other weird ability sounds. This made the entire trailer quite a weird watch.

Luckily some people on the internet are actually genius and very quickly someone added the Queen’s song Don’t Stop Me Now to the trailer and it’s nearly perfect. The video was uploaded by YouTuber Fennec Fox and posted on Reddit by u/mcpixelcat 12.

While the song is not perfectly synergized with the trailer it definitely comes close to being a perfect match. Another Reddit user, u/NatMcMahan, has already pointed out why the two mix so well.

  • “I’m a shooting star leaping through the sky” = Star Fox flying by followed by Kirby holding on to a star.

  • “defying the laws of gravity” = Samus, Pikachu and Marth floating in slow motion while avoiding an attack from Mewtwo, a character that levitates.

  • “passing by” – Three Pikmin passing by.

  • “like Lady Godiva” = Isabelle turning around and smiling, followed by a shot of Peach and Zelda.

  • “There’s no stopping me” = Pit pushing Ridley backwards as Ridley tries to hold his ground.

  • “I’m burning through the sky, yeah, Two hundred degrees, That’s why they call me Mister Fahrenheit” = Pokemon trainer throws a glowing Pokeball that releases Charizard, who starts flying through the air.

  • “I’m traveling at the speed of light” = Donkey Kong punching Captain Falcon in slow motion followed by Captain Falcon being launched.

  • “I want to make a supersonic man outta you” = Zero Suit Samus, Villager, Shulk and Sonic going at each other.

  • “I’m having a ball” = Close up shot of the Smash ball in the Inkling’s eye.

Although Don’t Stop Me Now is probably the song that synergized best with the trailer, a few other people attempted to add music to the trailer as well.
