Entire YouTube Site Goes Down

Update #1: YouTube is now back up! As to why the site went down for such a long time, the company has yet to provide an official response.

gone down! Users from all across the globe are reporting the mega video sharing site is completely inaccessible.

Multiple news media outlets are reporting on the issue such as Express, The Sun, and Kotaku.

At the moment, no one really knows what’s going on. When pressed for a response on Twitter, the official YouTube account sent out a tweet stating: “Thanks for your reports about YouTube, YouTube TV and YouTube Music access issues. We’re working on resolving this and will let you know once fixed. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will keep you updated.”

This is truly a never-before-seen incident. The site has already been down for more than 30 minutes and hasn’t come back up yet. YouTube going down is a possibility, but taking such a long time to get back up servers running? Something big has probably happened. Here’s a look at the reports of the service going down across the world.

The issue has people so frightened that some Americans are actually phoning the local police about it. There were so many 911 calls that one police station actually tweeted that people need to stop contacting them.
