Spider-Man, a hot-selling PS4 exclusive has been making headlines recently. Fans love many things about the game, especially the variety of Spidey’s suits, there are total 28 of them.
About the game
Spider-Man – a game based on the iconic character of Marvel is a product of Insomniac Games and Sony Interactive Entertainment in Playstation 4. You can play it in up to 4K format and probably should, to really enjoy its stunning graphics.(If you have PS4 Pro)
In the game, you are Peter Parker as usual. You can take part in a lot of activities and get involved in a lot of action. As Spider-Man himself, you have a chance to own 28 different suits, each has its own design and power.
In order to unlock the suits, you have to collect the Tokens: Backpack Tokens, Landmark Tokens, Research Tokens and Crime Tokens and also make progress with the story and the character.
How to unlock 28 Suits in Spider Man PS4
1. Advanced Suit
- How to get: Progress with the main story (Story Mode)
- Tokens required: 1 Backpack Token, 2 Crime Tokens
- Description: A new suit of Spider-Man, debuts with the game.
- Special ability: Battle Focus – hybrid biomembrane rapidly generates Focus for a short time.
2. Classic Suit (Damaged)
- How to get: Progress with the main story (Story Mode)
- Tokens required: None
- Description: The normal suit of Spider-Man, damaged.
- Special ability: None
3. Classic Suit (Repaired)
- How to get: Progress with the main story (Story Mode)
- Tokens required: 2 Backpack Tokens, 2 Crime Tokens
- Description: The normal suit of Spider-Man.
- Special ability: Web Blossom – Spider-man leaps into the air and webs everything in sight.
4. Noir Suit
- How to get: Progress with the main story (Story Mode)
- Tokens required: 2 Backpack Tokens, 1 Base Token
- Description: Originated from Spider-Man Noir comic series which is a part of Marvel Noir universe. Peter was depressed in the series.
- Special ability: Sound of Silence – Spider-man blocks enemies from calling for backup.

5. Scarlet Spider Suit
- How to get: Progress with the main story (Story Mode)
- Tokens required: 3 Crime Tokens, 2 Landmark Tokens
- Description: Ben Reilly, a clone of Peter Parker is the first known to use this suit and become Scarlet Spider while trying to kill Carnage. He also fights Venom under the identity of Scarlet Spider and slowly becomes an independent superhero.
- Special ability: Holo Decoy – spawn hologram decoys. If enemies attack these decoys, they will be stunned.
6. Spider Armor MK II Suit
- How to get: Reach Level 5
- Tokens required: 1 Landmark Token, 2 Research Tokens
- Description: Spider-Man created this suit when he lost all of his spider senses, the reason why he couldn’t dodge bullets.
- Special ability: Round Proof – Temporarily become bulletproof to sniper rifles’ bullets. Suitable to counter snipers.
7. Secret War Suit
- How to get: Reach Level 7
- Tokens required: 2 Backpack Tokens, 1 Base Token, 2 Research Tokens
- Description: In Secret Wars storyline, Spider-Man is gifted a suit that poisons whoever wears it and makes him become Venom. However, in Spider-Man, this suits would not grant you Venom’s power.
- Special ability: Arms Race – Cause an explosion that disable enemies’ firearm.
8. Stark Suit
- How to get: Reach Level 10
- Tokens required: 1 Base Token, 3 Crime Tokens, 1 Research Tokens
- Description: The suit that appeared in Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man: Home Coming that Tony Stark gifted Peter.
- Special ability: Spider Bro – calls in a Spider bot to aid you in combat.
9. Negative Suit
- How to get: Reach Level 11
- Tokens required: 1 Base Token, 2 Landmark Tokens, 1 Research Token
- Description: When Spider-Man entered Negative Zone – a parallel universe, he is infected with its power.
- Special ability: Negative Shockwave – creates a powerful, destructive shockwave.
10. Electrically Insulated Suit
- How to get: Reach Level 13
- Tokens required: 1 Base Token, 1 Research Token, 3 Crime Tokens
- Description: When Spider-Man fought Electro in Amazing Spider-Man #452, he had to find a way to protect himself against Electro’s power.
- Special ability: Electric Punch – Attack enemy target with an electric force.
11. Spider-Punk Suit
- How to get: Reach Level 16
- Tokens required: 2 Backpack Tokens, 3 Crime Tokens, 2 Landmark Tokens
- Description: Spider-Punk is also called Hobart Brown, a hero that fought Norman “Ozzy” Osborn. He used a guitar to hit Norman Osborn in the head.
- Special ability: Rock Out – Send out a sound wave from a electric guitar that stuns enemies.
12. Wrestler Suit
- How to get: Reach Level 19
- Tokens required: 2 Backpack Tokens, 2 Base Tokens, 2 Research Tokens
- Description: Inspired by “Crusher” of Hogan. It also appeared in the fight between Spider-Man (Tobey Maguire) and Bonesaw (Randy Savage). It’s like a mirrored move.
- Special ability: King of the Ring – Throw enemy away without using the web first.
13. Fear Itself Suit
- How to get: Reach Level 21
- Tokens required: 2 Base Tokens, 6 Challenge Tokens, 2 Research Tokens
- Description: In Serpent’s War series, the dwarfs of Nidavellir and Tony Stark worked together to develop the suit for Peter for him to face The Serpent. It is made from Uru – the material used to craft Mjölnir.
- Special ability: Quad Damage – Deal a huge damage in an area around Spider-Man.

14. Stealth (“Big Time”) Suit
- How to get: Reach Level 23
- Tokens required: 2 Base Tokens, 4 Challenge Tokens, 3 Landmark Tokens
- Description: Peter created this suit in Big Time storyline to become invisible and to protect himself from Hobgoblin.
- Special ability: Blur Projector – Stealth mode, a field that helps Spider-Man stay invisible to non-alerted enemies.
15. Spider Armour MK III Suit
- How to get: Reach Level 27
- Tokens required: 2 Base Tokens, 4 Crime Tokens
- Description: Spider-Man created the suit to defeat members of Sinister Six in #682. In comics, he can fly and is invulnerable to electricity, is able to fight back Sniper (under influence of Mysterio, take hits of Rhino with this suit.
- Special ability: Titanium Alloy Plates – Reflect every bullet of Sniper.
16. Spider-Man 2099 Black Suit
- How to get: Reach Level 29
- Tokens required: 2 Base Tokens, 2 Crime Tokens, 4 Research Tokens
- Description: Miguel O’Hara is Spider-Man in 2099. After connecting his DNA with spiders’, he slowly became Spider-Man.
- Special ability: Low Gravity – reduce attractive force when Spider-Man is in the air, good to counter mid-air attacks. The ability can make a nice combo with regular abilities too.
17. Iron Spider Suit
- How to get: Reach Level 31
- Tokens required: 3 Base Tokens, 3 Challenges Tokens, 4 Crime Tokens
- Description: In Civil War, Tony Stark created the suit for Peter. But in comics, the color and pattern used was a bit different. This suit in Spider-Man is influenced by the one in the movie more.
- Special ability: Iron Arms – 4 spider legs launched on Spider-Man’s back. It helps a lot in combat, with both offensive and defensive moves.
18. Velocity Suit
- How to get: Reach Level 33
- Tokens required: 2 Backpack Tokens, 2 Landmark Tokens, 4 Challenge Tokens
- Description: Designed by Adi Granov exclusively for the game.
- Special ability: Flash – run at high speed and push back enemies.
19. Spider Armor MK IV Suit
- How to get: Reach Level 35
- Tokens required: 4 Base Tokens, 4 Challenge Tokens, 3 Landmark Tokens
- Description: This is the fourth edition of Spider Armor suit. It is made of liquid metal. In comics, the suit was very beautiful and detailed.
- Special ability: Defense Shield – a shield that absorbs all kinds of damage, good to use against the hard bosses.
20. Spirit Spider Suit
- How to get: Reach Level 37
- Tokens required: 6 Base Tokens, 6 Challenge Tokens, 6 Crime Tokens
- Description: It somehow looks like a crossover of Spider-Man and Spirit of Vengeance.
- Special ability: Spirit Fire – use a blue fire to burn enemies.
21. Spider-Man 2099 White Suit
- How to get: Reach Level 29
- Tokens required: 4 Base Tokens, 4 Challenge Tokens, 4 Crime Tokens
- Description: The suit is created by Parker Industries for Miguel O’Hara.
- Special ability: Concussion Strike – send enemies to the air with every attack when active.
22. Vintage Comic Book Suit
- How to get: Reach Level 41
- Tokens required: 4 Backpack Tokens, 4 Challenge Tokens, 4 Crime Tokens
- Description: The suit was designed by Steve Ditko. It is straight out of comics.
- Special ability: Quips – Spider-Man acts funny while fighting.
23. Last Stand Suit
- How to get: Reach Level 45
- Tokens required: 20 Crime Tokens
- Description: The suit is of Earth-312500 Peter Parker. He was a murderer but then defeated Doctor Octopus and Kraven the Hunter to become a hero.
- Special ability: Unrelenting Fury – disable any defensive method of enemies.
24. Undies Suit
- How to get: Complete Story Mode
- Tokens required: None
- Description: Like in a scene you see in-game when Peter Parker appears with only his underwear and mask.
- Special ability: Equalizer – both Spider-Man and the target get knocked out after one hit.
25. Homemade Suit
- How to get: Collect all Backpacks
- Tokens required: All Backpack Tokens
- Description: Spider-Man (Tom Holland) in the movie Spider-Man: Homecoming wore this suit when he met Tony Stark.

- How to get: Complete Black Cat side quest

- Description: Black Cat designed the suit for Peter Parker.

27. ESU Suit
- How to get: Reach Level 50, collect all 50 photographs of Spider-Man

- Description: Empire Statue University was where Peter studied and he wanted to show his pride. Doctor Doom, Emma Frost and Eddie Brock used to study there too.

28. Anti-Ock Suit
- How to get: Complete the last mission, Pax in Bello

- Description: Seems to be inspired by the theme of Otto Octavius (Superior Octopus).
