Konami has got just the thing to quell those post-World Cup football cravings. A demo version of Pro Evolution Soccer 2019 is scheduled to release on August 8th on PC, PS4, and Xbox One according to a trailer published by Konami.
In the demo players can take part offline exhibition matches, online quick matches, and offline co-op mode. All three modes can be played at FC Barcelona’s Camp Nou grounds, and FC Schalke home turf Veltins Arena. The selection of clubs isn’t bad at all given PES 2019 licensing woes. They include FC Barcelona, Liverpool FC, Inter Milan, AC Milan, and AS Monaco among a total of 12 clubs from Europe and South America. In addition, players can try their hand at playing as the French and Argentinian national teams.
Konami has also released an expanded myCLub Legend list, which include stars ranging from Ronaldinho to Michael Owen, by way of Patrick Vieira and Maradona. More names will be revealed as the launch date of August 30th approaches. The myClub mode is getting a total overhaul in PES 2019 with the removal of transfer restrictions, new online events, and a host of new rewards.
Often seen as the more realistic footie sim in the decade-old rivalry with FIFA, the release of PES 2019 has weathered several blows. An end to its exclusive deal with the UEFA Champions League means many of the sport’s top names and clubs won’t be officially licensed in this year’s iteration. Borussia Dortmund’s last minute pull out further diminishes the tite’s meager licensing offering.
Konami hasn’t announced if the demo is a limited time only deal or how long it could possibly run. The developer has, however, released specification details for the PC version of the game, which are as follows:
