Jump Force Anime Fighting Game Revealed At E3

Jump Force

Fighting games featuring your favorite anime characters battling it out isn’t exactly a new thing, but never have they looked so good as in Bandai Namco’s “Jump Force.” Announced earlier today at E3, Jump Force will feature many of your Shonen Jump characters in a 3 versus 3 fighting game and will be released on Steam, Playstation 4, and Xbox One.

The trailer is hands down one of the most stylish game trailers I’ve ever seen. Thanks to Kotaku, you can have a look at it below.

From this short clip, we know that the game will feature Dragonball Z’s Goku and Frieza, One Piece’s Monkey D. Luffy, and Naruto. At the very end of the clip, we also get a brief glimpse of Light Yagami and Ryuk from Death Note. I’ve got a feeling that the game will have a rather extensive cast and I’m looking forward to seeing who else joins the list when the game is released in 2019.

One of the interesting things about this game is that the fights take place in the real world. We see a bit of this in the trailer with Goku and the gang battling Frieza in what appears to be New York’s Times Square. According to Kotaku

, Bandai Namco has said players will even be able to fight in the Alps.

Kotaku captured this off-screen video showcasing some of the actual gameplay.

Through this short clip, we can see the game sharing a lot of similar concepts with other tag-style fighting games. Seems like your partners can be tagged in and out whenever you want, and also provide support attacks.

The clip also shows you the aforementioned Alps stage as well as the fighter select screen. It’s worth noting that in the fighter select, we can see Roronoa Zoro from One Piece and Sasuke from Naruto as additional playable characters.

I can’t wait to see more from this game and will definitely be updating you if we get any more news for it at E3.
