Nevertheless, Ubisoft was still able to release the game Assassin’s Creed Shadows, accompanied by several additional content updates. In fact, the producer of the Assassin’s Creed series described AC Shadows as a quadruple-A (AAAA) game.

According to a statement from Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed game producer, Krasimira Yakovlieva, the game is considered a AAAA title. Her LinkedIn profile reveals details about her career at Ubisoft, where she has worked as a Game Producer for over 13 years. During her tenure, she has been involved in the development of AAAA-level games, partnership collaborations, and media management.

One of the game projects he worked on at Ubisoft Sofia includes several well-known titles from the Assassin’s Creed series, such as Assassin’s Creed Origins, Valhalla, Mirage, and Shadows.

In his profile, he mentions Assassin’s Creed Shadows as the very first AAAA-level game to be released simultaneously on MacOS alongside other platforms such as PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S.

There was some confusion and surprise among gamers regarding Krasimira Yakovlieva’s mention of AC Shadows as a AAAA game on her LinkedIn profile. This led to various comments on Reddit, where many gamers expressed sarcastic remarks about the classification of AC Shadows as a AAAA title.

One of them explained that even a high-profile game like GTA VI, developed by Rockstar, has never referred to their game as AAAA, unlike Ubisoft, which has done so in the past, or the pirate-themed game in question.
