Dota 2 is widely recognized as a MOBA game featuring a vast array of cosmetic skins. Over the years, collaborations related to Dota 2 have been quite limited, primarily involving music content and Announcer Packs.
Recently, Valve unexpectedly announced a collaboration that surprised many gamers. The partnership between Dota 2 and Monster Hunter suddenly appeared, introducing a variety of interesting cosmetic skins.
Dota 2 and Monster Hunter Collaboration Announced

According to the official Dota 2 website, Valve has announced a partnership between Dota 2 and Monster Hunter. This collaboration introduces themed skins inspired by the Monster Hunter game series, which players can obtain for free.
There are six set items inspired by monsters from Capcom’s video game universe, including Sniper Odogaron, Palico Disguise Techies, Anti Mage Kirin Armor, Dragon Knight Rathalos Armor, Beastmaster Bone Armor, and Windranger Zinogre Armor.

Additionally, this collaboration introduces the cute Palico courier, which players can also obt ain at no cost. All of these items are acquired through crafting, similar to the mechanics in the Monster Hunter game.
Players can gather materials by hunting the heroes present in the game, which have been pre-selected at the start of the match. Defeating these heroes will earn the player materials.
If a player is eliminated by the designated hero target, the mission will be considered failed, and a new mission will be assigned in the next game session. However, if the player successfully defeats the target and wins the match, they will earn bonus materials.
Alternative Version via Expedition Pack

Each item in this collaboration has multiple versions that can be unlocked by purchasing the Expedition Pack. Besides providing recipes for these variations, the Expedition Pack also includes a cute Poogie pet, a Dragon Knight Rathalos-themed costume, a Bullfango summon for Beast Master, Sprayt Pack, Monster Hunter Music Pack, and all necessary materials to complete six collaboration item sets.
Other elements also undergo changes during gameplay. Now, players can observe monsters from Monster Hunter, such as Rathalos, Barioth, Seregios, and Rathian, flying across the map during matches.
This event also features the Atlas Hero, who contains unique artwork of Dota 2 heroes inspired by the Monster Hunter game theme. These artworks can be unlocked by using the hero or by battling against these heroes during gameplay.
Dota 2 x Monster Hunter collaboration will last for three months, making it a fairly extended partnership. Are you ready to go hunting and create the Rathalos Dragon Knight skin?
