One of the most anticipated features in the gacha game Wuthering Waves is the ability to fly freely for quick travel. This feature, which was previously exclusive to the Rinascita region, has recently been confirmed to also be implemented in the Jinzhou and Black Shores areas, following requests from many fans.
However, it appears that this simple yet luxurious feature is only available in the older regions. This was confirmed by Kuro Games’ developer during a Special Broadcast for Wuthering Waves version 2.6, where they announced that the harvesting feature will not be included in future regions.
The developer explained that this is because each region is designed with its own distinct atmosphere and gameplay elements. At the same time, they also promised that every new region would feature its own unique exploration mechanics.
This naturally leads fans to wonder about the type of exploration methods that will be introduced. Considering that the upcoming region is believed to be the New Federation—an area characterized by advanced technology—players can likely anticipate exploration features infused with high-tech elements.
A Brief Overview of Wuthering Waves 2.6

In addition to the introduction of flying capabilities for older regions, there are numerous new features that players can look forward to in the upcoming Wuthering Waves update.
One of the most eagerly anticipated updates is the introduction of two new Resonators (playable characters in Wuthering Waves) available through gacha in two separate phases. The first is Augusta—a Resonator with Electro attributes, arriving on August 28th. The second is Iuno—a Resonator with Aero attributes, coming later on September 17th.
Several highly anticipated quality of life improvements for fans have finally been included in version 2.6. The first is the ability to claim all rewards with a single click on the Achievement page and some permanent game modes. Additionally, there is now a feature called Collection Spots that can be used to gather mineral resources, an expanded range of the Lootmapper tool, and enhanced tracking features to monitor exploration progress in Jinzhou and Black Shores (Red).
The main story will continue to focus on Septimont, specifically with the introduction of a new area called Sanguis Plateaus. It is expected that version 2.6 will serve as the conclusion to the primary storyline in the Rinascita region before moving on to a new region.
