Back in August during Gamescom, Blizzard revealed that they would be partnering with Lego to do a special Overwatch collaboration. Just yesterday, the first limited edition model was uploaded onto the Blizzard store and who it is may shock you. In a surprising twist, it’s… Bastion!?
In the midst of Gamescom, the official Overwatch Twitter page posted a tweet with a video that revealed the silhouettes of 6 heroes set to be part of the Overwatch x Lego collaboration. These included: Mercy, Genji, McCree, Soldier 76, Ana, and what looked to be Widowmaker.

Needless to say, we were expecting the first released Lego set to feature one of these characters. Blizzard instead decided to throw us a curve ball and introduce a Bastion set first! Here’s a closer look at it.
The Blizzard store even featured a pretty cool blueprint/schematic of Bastion indicating his dimensions with a comparison to the height of a Lego person.
While something of a shocker considering Blizzard didn’t release any sort of promotional info suggesting that Bastion could be part of the collaboration, the fact that he is the only fully mechanized hero in Overwatch makes him a relatively easy character to Lego-ify.
This 182-piece Lego Bastion set is going for $25 USD on the Blizzard store and can only be purchased through the site. The exclusive collab unit is available in limited quantities so act fast if you want to get your hands on one!
