Ubisoft Releases Assassin’s Creed Odyssey PC Specs

If you’re one of the many would be assassins who are planning to delve into the tumultuous times of Ancient Greece on PC, then a quick look at the minimum and maximum specifications for Assassin’s Creed Odyssey as released by Ubisoft is highly recommended. The publisher published the system requirements via a news piece of its web site.

The PC version of Assassin’s Creed Odyssey is not simply a PC port of the console version, but rather a system specific iteration, Ubisoft explains citing ‘a tailored experience developed by a dedicated team’. Reassuring news it must be said and one backed up by a host of customization options on PC. In addition, Odyssey

will ship with benchmark tools so PC owners can run diagnostics to determine the ideal graphical settings for their particular machine, as well as an option for dynamic resolution rendering, which should allow the frame rate to reach higher uncapped levels.

The minimum requirements, which we’ve provided just below, aren’t too demanding given the breadth and scope of the game. Hell, it even runs on Windows 7, though we’re not convinced their are many serious gamers still running the OS. The GPU requirements are pretty tame as well it must said. The 46GB install size is sure to gobble up precious hard drive space so a bit of a de-clutter might be in order before October 5th when Assassin’s Creed Odyssey drops for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.

The recommended specs do jump up a notch though, with at least an entry level i7 and a GTX 970. The resolution does jump to 1080p meaning a tangible improvement in quality.

Ubisoft has also been kind enough to throw in a 4K spec guide, allowing players to experience Odyssey is all its open-world glory. There’s no skirting around it, the PC required is a beast with a 1080 and top of the line i7.
