Overwatch Will Get Their Very Own LEGO Sets

Overwatch is expanding their licensing immensely in a really short time span. Not only have they recently teased that an Overwatch Nerf Rivals product line will be produced but they also released a UNIQLO x Blizzard clothing line. Now more great news comes in the form of a collaboration between Overwatch and LEGO.

Overwatch has been a huge success story for Blizzard and is one of the most popular shooters in recent times. A big part of the success of the game lies in its fantastic character creation and world building, which has resulted in a beautiful game with characters that appeal to both adults as well as younger audiences. This is most likely how they were able to secure a line of LEGO Overwatch products, as LEGO is mainly seen as a children’s product. Although we don’t have any further details on what these LEGO products will look like, they did confirm that they would release multiple sets in a variety of price ranges.

Blizzard has also worked together with UNIQLO in order to create some unique apparel for the fans that is easily obtainable. The line of clothing features not just Overwatch but also other Blizzard games. The line is part of the spring/summer 2018 collection and has already been released on May 18 in most UNIQLO stores around the world.

The Activision Blizzard Consumer Product Group, or ABCPG for short, is the driving force behind all the recent licensing for Blizzard and Activision games. The ABCPG was only formed a year ago in an effort to increase product licensing for the company and it has definitely been successful so far. Due to the popularity of Overwatch in the last two years and the appeal of the Overwatch characters and universe, the game has landed some big licensing hits. The ABCPG will be at the Licensing Expo 2018 in Las Vegas to show off their licensing products and seek new partners for future licensing ventures.
