Everyone has their favorite Final Fantasy game and mine is hands down FF6. Wasn’t really that much a fan of Terra, but I loved everyone else. How can you not love god of gambling Setzer, reluctant king Edgar, and suplexer of trains Sabin? So I’m quite ecstatic with Dissidia’s big reveal for the next DLC character – Locke. Yes, everyone’s favorite treasure hunter from Final Fantasy 6 is coming to Dissidia next month. The release trailer showcasing some of his moves looks fantastic.
Having never appeared in a Dissidia game before, it’s awesome they decided to add him to the roster. His in-game model looks spot on and definitely captures the charismatic thief persona that made Locke so iconic.
Locke joins Kefka and Terra in representing Final Fantasy 6 in Dissidia NT, bringing the total fighter count up to 29. Based on his characterization, he’ll most likely be an assassin type of character who will rely on quick hitting attacks to bring down his opponents.
According to some release images, Locke looks to be released with 3 additional skin variants as well as 4 different weapons.
If you’re both a fan of both fighting games as well as Final Fantasy, I definitely recommend checking out Final Fantasy Dissidia NT. It just does such an excellent job of bringing your favorite characters to life in a way that most of their source games couldn’t.
