Recent Pokémon Switch leaks have left the community hopeful that the new games might be revealed soon. Over the last few days numerous leaks have surfaced on the anonymous website 4chan and upon further research, some evidence has surfaced that has convinced fans that these rumors may very well be true. The leaks are claiming that the new Pokémon games for the Nintendo Switch will be called Pokémon: Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokémon: Let’s Go Eevee.

The leaks, as well as the titles of the games, indicate that the games will be a remake of Pokémon Yellow and thus will be set in the Kanto region. Instead of picking a starter from the famous Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle trio,
All of this just seemed like another silly leak from a hopeful fan at first, but that changed when a French Pokémon fansite discovered that the domain trademarks had been registered. Both websites were registered on May 15 and currently lead to completely blank pages. The trademarks were registered by CSC Domains which is the same company that registered the domain trademarks for Sun and Moon. These trademarks however, do not show who they were trademarked by, which is weird since last time that Sun and Moon were trademarked they clearly showed that it was Nintendo that trademarked them. This might have just been a decision by Nintendo though, to make it harder for fans to find the trademarks.

A return to Kanto for the first Pokémon Switch game has left some fans disappointed, as some were really looking forward to a new region with undiscovered Pokémon. However, I think a remake of the original games makes a lot of sense for Nintendo. Pokémon Go was able to reinvigorate Pokémon on an international scale, and the Nintendo Switch is one the best selling consoles that Nintendo has had in ages. Combine the two and you have a great way for Nintendo to pull estranged fans back into the franchise.
Since all this information is based of leaks, it should be taken with a grain of salt as it might turn out to be all fake in the end. However there is enough prove that you could justify starting up the hype train.
