After nearly six years of being available and showing no signs of ending its service, Hypergryph’s gacha-based tower defense game, Arknights, has achieved remarkable success.
During a recent livestream celebrating the sixth anniversary of the Arknights Chinese server, the developer revealed various new content that players can look forward to in the near future. However, what was quite surprising is that they also announced the game will be receiving a PC version.
There is still no clear information on whether the PC version will have its own launcher, especially as the developer is currently working on Arknights: Endfield, which is expected to be released this year. However, it is also possible that the game might come to platforms like Steam to reach a broader audience.

Arknights has been playable on PC for quite some time through various emulators. It is even officially available via Google’s own emulator, Google Play Games (Beta).
Unveiling of Arknights: Rise From Ember Trailer
Alongside this announcement, the anime adaptation of Arknights: Rise From Ember
Here’s a brief interlude: the anime adaptation follows the main storyline or theme as presented in the game. The first season, titled “Prelude to Dawn,” covers the narrative from the prologue up to the third episode. It is followed by the second season, “Perish in Frost,” which spans episodes four to six.
If it continues to follow the same structure, the third season, titled “Rise from Ember,” is likely to extend the story up to the eighth episode. It will be interesting to see if this anime adaptation can bring to life the critical moments that, in the game, are only portrayed through a visual novel format.
