The game Grand Theft Auto, commonly referred to as GTA, is a franchise that is heavily laden with mature themes. It showcases elements such as sensuality, firearm usage, and gang-related violence.

Talking about weapons, a few days ago there was a report that a teenager was successfully apprehended by the police for carrying a firearm illegally.

Teen Arrested by Police, Feels Like a GTA Game

According to KSL, on February 20th, a 19-year-old teenager from Pleasant Grove, Utah was reportedly driving a sedan without a license plate when police officers attempted to pull him over.

Instead of stopping, the report states that he continued to speed through a red light. As a result of his actions, the police turned on their sirens and pursued the teenager, who nearly collided with other vehicles while reaching speeds of up to 95 MPH.

Although the police discontinued the pursuit due to safety concerns, the 19-year-old teenager managed to escape. A month later, the authorities obtained three videos of the police chase involving the teenager, which included audio of him saying it was “like playing GTA.”

Moreover, the report mentioned that the three videos were uploaded to social media. In the first video, the teenager is seen speeding while taunting the police officers who are in pursuit.

In the second video, he allegedly filmed himself saying, “I’m in GTA, Bro!” while holding up a black handgun. It wasn’t specified whether his comment referred to the San Andreas series, GTA 4, or the upcoming GTA 6.

In the third video, the investigators mentioned that the teenager also managed to unwrap a chocolate bar and eat it during the chase. He even changed the color of his car to silver to deceive the police, though it is unclear whether he used spray paint or completely repainted the car.

Due to his actions, the 19-year-old teenager was named a suspect and charged with failing to comply with a police officer’s signal to stop, reckless driving, and using a cellphone while driving.
