It seems that not all gamers are fans of the UI Menu design in the game Metaphor. Upon learning this, the UI Designer of Metaphor apologized to the gamers.

At the Game Developers Conference 2025, Koji Ise, the Lead Interface Designer for both Metaphor ReFantazio and Persona, delivered a presentation discussing aspects of the game. He also faced numerous questions from the media regarding the game, particularly about the UI Menu of Metaphor, which some gamers found unappealing or uncomfortable.
Koji Ise mentioned that he and his team recognize that different individuals have unique needs. He also stated that his team understands the requirements of these gamers, so they will take this into account when designing the UI menu for their next game.
