In a post on his Twitter X account, Hideaki Itsuno revealed that he departed from Capcom at the end of August. He had been with the Japanese game company Capcom for 30 years and 5 months.
He expressed his gratitude to the fans for their long-term support of the game and the characters he is responsible for.
Moreover, he mentioned that he hopes fans will continue to support upcoming Capcom games and their characters. Fortunately, the 53-year-old man also confirmed that his departure from Capcom doesn’t mean he will stop working in the gaming industry anytime soon.
Plan for a New Game Project

In the same post, Itsuno also talked about his future plans in the industry he is passionate about. He mentioned that the development of his latest project will commence in September, during which he will create “a new game in a new environment.”
Moreover, the game’s director provided an overview of what he aims to achieve in his upcoming projects. Itsuno revealed that his main goal is to “create enjoyable and beautiful games,” which he hopes will be on par with his previous works like Devil May Cry and Dragon’s Dogma.
